Do Disney theme parks have ECV/Scooters at the parks?
Yes, they do, but at this time do not offer a system to reserve mobility scooters or ECVs in advance, and often sell out quickly. It is also important to note that some theme parks will not allow you to park hop with the scooter. Reserving with a 3rd party is the only way to ensure you will have a mobility scooter for your vacation at Walt Disney World. Renting from a 3rd party mobility scooter rental company is often cheaper also. Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and Animal Kingdom in-park mobility scooters rent for $60 a day with a refundable deposit of $50. Disney water parks require a refundable deposit of $100. You can read more about it here. At Scooter King, we have no deposit at almost half the price.
How long should the battery last?
When we set out to found a mobility scooter/ECV company in Orlando we knew they would be used for our expansive theme parks. That's why we made sure every ECV/Scooter was upgraded with the biggest batteries available for all of the rental models we carry. You should get about 12 hours of battery life on our scooters on a full charge. In some cases, you can push 15-18 hours depending on the theme park and the rider's weight. We recommend not doing Epcot & Animal Kingdom on the same day as Animal Kingdom has many inclines and Epcot is very large. In fact, Epcot is so big you can almost fit every theme park in Orlando into Epcot's 300 acres. With that much area to explore you are going to need a big battery and the good news is, we have them!
What happens if we have issues with the rental ECV/Scooter at Disney?
Most issues are something simple that can be fixed easily by visiting this page. But in the event there is a failure of one of our rental scooters at Disney we will come to the park and swap you out with a new scooter.
Can the rental scooters/ECVs use park transportation?
Yes! All of our Disney mobility ECV/scooter rentals can utilize all park transport like the busses, boats, and skyline. The 450-pound capacity scooters can be a little more difficult to get onto some of the park transport so it is recommended that you only rent that scooter if it is necessary.
